These bird creatures are fond of residing in tropical or subtropical moist lowland forests.
Garret Pittas mate from March through August and typically lay up to six eggs in a round nest that is nestled in trees or bushes, infrequently on the ground. Throughout this time, both the mother and father play an active role in raising and caring for their young.
